Spiritgust Festival brings four days of Hi-Tech psychedelic trance to Nakhon Si Thammarat, Thailand, from 6 to 9 January 2027.
It began in Goa in 2011, when Pranay Dev built it as a space for music, freedom and genuine connection. More than a decade on, that intent has not moved even as the festival has. What started on Indian soil now draws artists and dancers from India and across the world, and in 2027 it makes its home on the southern Thai coast.
The music is fast. Hi-Tech trance is built for the small hours, and Spiritgust runs it that way: four days and nights of it, outdoors, with the sea close enough to hear between sets. Around the sound there is art, open ground to dance on and the particular kind of daylight that follows a long night. There is room to camp, room to wander and room to do nothing at all between music and dance.
But the lineup has never been the whole story. Spiritgust is built around a simpler idea, and one that is harder to book: people from different places sharing one dancefloor without pretence. No hierarchy on the floor, no performance off it. Strangers arrive as strangers and leave as something else, which is what happens when the music is loud enough and the nights are long enough to wear the edges off.
